James was IT for the corporate office and was sent to the Quadel Indiana office to convert the office's operating system. It just so happens on the day that he arrived, the other IT person who would have normally greeted him was out on PTO. Nicole was the Director of the Indiana office and greeted him when he arrived over an hour late. When he stood up to shake her hand she noticed he wasn’t the nerdy pencil protector wearing IT guy she expected to see. Nicole decided to take James to lunch as a kind gesture. During lunch, the two chatted & found out they had more in common than initially thought. With Nicole being raised in Gary, IN and James a Chicago native they were practically neighbors. The next day James came into Nicole's office several times to announce his departure. I guess you could say by this time James was smitten and Nicole felt there was something familiar about James when she gazed into his eyes. Once James was at the airport getting ready to board his flight, he sent an email to Nicole hoping she would pick up on a few subtle clues that he wanted her to call him and with an ability to read between the lines, she did. They talked for hours about their love of God, music, and family. James returned To Indianapolis two weeks later to take Nicole on their very first official date. From that day forward, the two embarked on a whirlwind romance that included numerous trips from DC to Indianapolis and vice versa, they went to Texas, Cabos and other exciting destinations. Fate seemed to bring these two together seeing as they grew up so close but ended up living miles apart.

Nicole decided to celebrate her 45th birthday with a party with family and friends. It was on this day that James got down on one knee in front of family and friends and popped the question. Nicole undoubtedly said “yes” and here we are. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you! See you in Kokomo!
