Doc Crow’s is located in a building from 1869, and most famously housed the Bonnie Bros. Distillers warehouse. The distillery itself was located in the Portland neighborhood of Louisville, KY. Under the Bonnie Bros. house, 5 distilled spirits were sold. Doc Crow’s building once housed barrels and barrels of Joel B. Frazier, Nelson Club, Bonnie Bourbon, Bonnie Rye, and Bonnie Malt. When prohibition ended in December of 1933, Bonnie Bros. built a new larger distillery, but by the 1950’s it was purchased by Schenley Distillers. At that point in time, the building was repurposed as a warehouse for the Burwinkle-Hendershot paper goods company until being renovated into Doc Crow’s Southern Smokehouse and Raw Bar located in Louisville KY, now known as Whiskey Row. you will be welcomed into our 30-person bar where you can create your own custom scent and product while enjoying one our canned cocktails, beer, wine, or various non-alcoholic beverage options! The creation process takes anywhere from 30 minutes - 1 hour depending on the size of group. the candles take a minimum of 1 hour to harden and set, so we encourage you to relax & chat or play a board game in our curated lounge! We also invite you to explore our amazing local Nulu restaurants, bars, and shops while you wait for your candle to set. Non-candle products can be taken with you immediately if you don't have time to stick around or can't come back within 30 days to retrieve a custom candle!
Louisville Mega CavernLouisville Mega Cavern
What once started out as Louisville Crushed Stone and one of the best kept secrets in the city of Louisville, Kentucky has now been revealed to the public. It was created by a massive limestone quarry—with miners blasting out a mind-boggling amount of rock for over 42 years during the middle of the 20th century. Since the early 1990’s, a massive amount of recycled concrete, brick, block, rock and dirt were (and continue to be) off-loaded at the cavern to fill in the holes and create floors and internal roads. Construction to carve out offices and storage spaces is ongoing, making just a dent in the more than 4,000,000 square feet of space. Even though it’s underground, the Louisville MEGA Cavern is actually the largest building in the state of Kentucky—and by tonnage is the largest recycling center in the state. Now you can experience all the wonder and adventure of this unique attraction.
