James and Taylor met at Clemson University back in 2015. They crossed paths early on due to sorority and fraternity affiliations. It wasn’t until spring of 2019 when they hit it off at Loose Change, a bar in Clemson. James asked Taylor to be his date to his Beach Fraternity Formal that spring, and little did they know that weekend would start their annual beach trip with Maria and Matt Skinner. When they returned to Clemson in the fall of 2019, they went on their first official date at a local sushi spot. James asked Taylor to be his girlfriend on September 26. After James’ graduation from Clemson, he moved to Chicago in February of 2020. Taylor visited him during her Spring Break, with plans to spend a few days together before going to California. Once the COVID lockdown took place, James and Taylor were stranded in his tiny studio apartment in the city. Thank goodness for red wine, a deck of cards, Hello Fresh, and great company! James and Taylor took the next step in 2023 when they moved in together into the Lakeview neighborhood in Chicago. They have a shared love of trying new restaurants in the city, traveling to new places, and seeking out adventure.
