Wedding Ceremony & Reception

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses.
The wedding will be at the same site as the reception. We will have a brief ceremony and cocktail hour (yes, drinks during the ceremony! cheers!) that will lead straight into dinner & dancing featuring live music from Stupid Kool & The Kiss My Brass Band. The band will wind down around 11:45 pm, and at that time we will all proceed to the street fest party right outside the venue for fireworks at midnight! *see Mule Drop for more details* There will be a designated parking lot that will be detailed later on. There is no parking on the street in front of the venue but you can park on the side residential streets.

Columbia is home to a historic town square and Main Street that has great shopping, cool restaurants & a growing live music scene. Also known as "Muletown" they host a mule drop at midnight on NYE followed by fireworks. The mule drop will take place in the town square at the courthouse, which is a half-block outside our wedding venue. We will be able to carry our drinks outside (no glassware) and enjoy this party on the street. There are also bars & breweries that will be open downtown until 2 AM. We will have a shuttle set up to take guests back to the Holiday Inn Express (more details to come). Columbia does offer Uber, however, it can be hit or miss on a night like New Year's Eve. If you're not staying at the hotel, have a backup plan to get home that doesn't involve drinking and driving.
