Jake and Sara’s story began on New Year’s Eve, December 31st, 2021, the day Sara moved into her new Mount Washington apartment with her college friend, Mia. Tired from hauling boxes, the two planned on staying in—until Jake, Mia’s good friend from high school, texted to say they were hosting a small get-together a few streets over. They decided to rally and go, and Sara has been grateful ever since that they didn’t spend that night on the couch. After three and a half years of love and growing together, Jake proposed on August 2, 2024, at the overlook on Mount Washington—a place filled with deep meaning. It’s where Sara’s family is from, where Jake and Sara first met, where they chose to move in together, and now, where they will begin their forever and say “I do.”
