Hotel
This is where we will be staying. It is a ten minute drive to the wedding venue, a one minute walk to downtown with all its bars, shops, and restaurants, and two blocks from the lake. Block rooms are not available, but the manager says June is wide open! Book now to reserve your room, cabin, or condo! Some rooms are pet friendly. Since it is a historic building there is no elevator, so those of you who have iffy relationship to stairs are encouraged to call for ground floor accommodations.
Travel Note
The easiest way to get in, if you're coming from out of state, is to fly into the Denver International Airport. Grand Lake is about a two hour drive from Denver. I highly recommend renting a car. There is a shuttle van to the area, but it has limited hours and costs more than just renting a car for two days. If you would like to find a buddy to coordinate co-renting a car, let us know and we will try to pair you up with another traveler. For rental cars, Denver Airport has several big name business that offer shuttles to and from the airport. Rachael has personally used Budget Car Rental, and was impressed by their service. AA Barn is located about ten minutes from the town of Grand Lake, with parking available on site. Please see the FAQs for more directions and other hotel recommendations.
