Back in the summer of 2015, sleeping in a tent in rural Madagascar, James met Science for truly the first time. Conducting fieldwork research, exploring the unknown, eating rice and beans and the occasional rock...it was in this setting James first fell in love with Science and decided one day, he would actualize this love with a PhD. Since then, he's only fallen more in love, and on July 19, 2024, after courting his PhD in Biomedical Sciences since September of 2018 (with a side quest in the Middle East), he will finalize that love by defending his thesis until the death in verbal combat.
