Wedding Party

Lindsay Hartzell

Matron of Honor

Lindsay is the eldest of the Symon sisters. She's the smartest among us and undoubtedly the planner and organizer of our family. I owe much of my success in high school and college to her—she was always there, editing my papers and helping me through every assignment. Lindsay also gave me the greatest title I've had so far: "aunt" to my amazing nephew and niece, Colin and Keegan.

Kelly Symon

Bridesmaid

Kelly is the middle child—just 13 months younger than Lindsay, making them honorary Irish twins. She somehow snagged all the good genes: tallest, most athletic, and effortlessly cool. Kel’s our laid-back queen… until the drinks kick in, and then she’s the life of the party (you’ve been warned). She’s the keeper of secrets, the saver of dollars, and quite literally everybody’s favorite—hands down. We’re still trying to figure out how she does it.

Caroline Fostello

Bridesmaid

Caroline is James' sister and my future sister-in-law. From the moment we met, I knew we’d get along. She’s one of a kind: smart and motivated, sassy and strong, and unapologetically blunt (which, lucky for me, is exactly my style). Everyone in the family knows not to mess with her—she rules the roost, and I admire her for it. I learned quickly that letting us sit next to each other at the dinner table is a risky move. We bounce off each other, instigate mischief, and always have something up our sleeve—but I promise, it’s all in good fun. I’m forever grateful to be gaining another sister, and I couldn’t be more excited to have her standing beside me on my special day.

Erin Feeney

Bridesmaid

Erin is my best friend and basically a sister-stitched into the fabric of my life from the very beginning. We met when she was just a week old and I was a wise old baby of 10 months and 13 days (but who’s counting). Legend has it I tipped her over in her car seat, and ever since then, we've been ridin' dirty. That’s real love—not that I gave her much of a choice! She’s my voice of reason, my personal stand-up comic, and the keeper of all our wildest stories—and trust me, there are many. From childhood shenanigans to grown-up adventures, Erin has been my saving grace, my constant, my co-star in every unforgettable moment. And on my wedding day, it’ll be no different—she’ll be right there, adding sparkle, laughter, and probably a few perfectly timed one-liners. She’s truly one of a kind—the kind of person who makes life brighter just by being in it.

Brittany Peleckas

Bridesmaid

Brittany is my Greek goddess—truly beautiful inside and out. Her kindness is unmatched, her heart is pure, and her loyalty runs deep. As one of the Three Amigas (yes, those three best friends that anybody could ever have), Brittany, Erin, and I go way back. She was always the good one… until Erin and I got our hands on her. Somehow, she’s survived our antics and still loves us anyway. Through every season of life, Brittany has remained one of my closest friends, and having her by my side on this day means the world to me.

Brooke Martin

Bridesmaid

My Brookala—my twin in spirit, my childhood co-star. What began with a mutual love for Barney evolved into a full-blown obsession with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. We were inseparable: giggling through sleepovers, coordinating outfits like it was our job, and turning movie nights into mini premieres. Our bond is stitched together with shared secrets, questionable decisions, and a loyalty that’s never wavered.

Keegan Hartzell

Flower Girl

Kiki is our niece, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have her as our flower girl on the big day. She may be tiny, but don’t let that fool you—she’s fierce, loving, loyal, and full of spice. In true Kiki fashion, she’s already promised to sprinkle in a few gymnastics tricks as she makes her way down the aisle (we’re bracing ourselves for cartwheels or back handsprings!). From the moment she met James, she had him wrapped around her little finger—and she’s been counting down the days to officially welcome him into the family. Her joy is infectious, her spirit is unstoppable, and we know she’s going to shine like the star she is. We can’t wait for you to see her in action!

Matthew Bertarelli

Best Man

Matthew “Stern” Bertarelli, our Best Man, has been a childhood friend and lifelong partner in crime. Matt has acquired a slew of aliases over the years, including but not limited to Stern, Crest, Vaunt, Brenner, and the more recent Chunkseralli. Known for his quick wit and vast homemade vocabulary, Stern is the kind of guy who can make anyone laugh—whether it’s with a perfectly timed joke or, more often, just by being himself. When he’s not on the golf course (which is rare), you can find him wearing his Nike Tech at home or repping a Miami Vice fit on the beach like the true Italian he is. From cruising around in that stinky S500 to grinding out pars during our Saturday matches at the club, we’ve been close since Christ was a carpenter, and I’m happy to call him my Best Man.

Tim Cullinane

Groomsman

Timothy “Buckland” Cullinane—arguably the better Cullinane, depending on who you ask. I’ve known Timbuck since middle school. What I love about Timmy is you never know which side of him you’re going to get. He can talk the paint off a wall or be the absolutely chilliest guy in the room. We romped around high school and then college together at UMD. You know you trust a man when you’ve almost crashed a million times and still let him be your designated driver. Tim knows when to stand up for his boys as well—just ask (Soup Nazi Paul). Timmy is a variety gamer—from basketball and golf to ripping games on Discord, this man can get after it and is always down to ride. I appreciate him being my groomsman and hope to stay friends for a long time.

Mark Mascheri

Groomsman

A man among men—Mr... oh wait, I mean Dr. Mark Mascheri. Mark is a longtime childhood friend who may be the most sarcastic man to ever live. Humor of all spectrums flows out of that man’s mouth—similar to his hair during med school! Mark was a hell of a 1v1 basketball player. We used to play for hours for the usual wager: an MB Cola—big bucks. Needless to say, Mark drained my bank account 50 cents at a time. After high school, Mark went on to Amherst to pursue his medical career, partially sidetracked by hopes of becoming a professional Smite player… not. From bumping Kendrick in the Accord (Lexus) to more recent golf outings, Mark has remained an incredible friend, and I couldn’t be happier to have him as a groomsman.

John Hartzell

Groomsman

John is married to Michelle’s sister, Lindsay, and has been part of the family for many years. He’s supportive, hardworking, and always ready with a joke—usually about how he should’ve married Kelly instead. We’re so grateful to have him standing beside us on our big day, and we know he’s just as excited to finally welcome another brother into the family.

Colin Hartzell

Ring Bearer

Colin is our nephew and the proud creator of James’ legendary nickname, “Uncle Roadie.” From the moment we started planning the wedding, Colin has been all in—asking questions about his role, practicing his dance moves, and bringing his signature enthusiasm to every moment. His energy is contagious, his creativity unmatched, and we can’t wait for everyone to see him shine on the big day. He’s got big plans—and we’re pretty sure they involve some unforgettable moves on the dance floor.
