We matched online and started to message each other. We hit it off with conversation and started to talk almost every day for about a month. Finally, we both felt it was a good time to met up. We choose a local coffee shop, The Attic, to meet at, the date and time was set but my alarm clock wasn't. The day of our date my phone was going off a bunch and I woke up thinking it was my alarm, to find it was James messaging me if we were still meeting for coffee. When I looked at the time it was only 5 minutes before our date was supposed to start. I told him I slept in and if could wait a little bit and I would be there as fast as I could, being the patient man that he is, he waited close to 40 minutes. We had a great conversation and hit it off, plus I bought the coffee ;). During this date I thought to myself, Markita, he is a great guy but you will never see him again, you were close to 40 minutes late, he is just being kind to give you the time of day. After our date was done, I said goodbye, thinking that it was the last time I would see him. Around 30 minutes later, I got a text from James asking if I liked chicken parmesan, I replied yes..why?, he said I would like to have another date with you....since you were late for the first one. Then the rest of the story is history that led to our happily ever after.
