We want to set expectations clear - this is a very simple afternoon celebration in a park. Details are still being worked out, but we are hoping to have lawn games, and there's a volleyball court between the sites we have reserved (if you have a spare ball, hit us up, we don't want to buy one). We're not having a professional photographer but are hoping to get pictures with everyone who can attend, so nice but casual clothes that you won't be heartbroken if you get a grass stain on will be perfect. Regarding shoes, the walk from the closest parking lot is about 200 yards, and parking is not guaranteed in that lot, and we would generally prefer no broken ankles, so please err on the side of comfy.
Yes, catering will be provided by Hummus Mediterranean Kitchen. When you RSVP, please choose what you would like to eat. In addition to the mains listed, we plan on having hummus (obviously), Mediterranean salsa, pita bread, vegetables, and house salad. While we will try to have a children's option available, it may not be possible due to logistics.
We have reserved the Creekside and Meadowbrook spots in the park. After coming in from the main entrance, you can turn left at the first intersection and hope to find a spot there, but if not, there are other smaller lots throughout the park. As stated before, the sites are about a 200 yard walk in from the closest parking lots, so please take that into consideration when selecting your attire for the day.
No, you will not. Vasona has several parking lots. However, it is a large and popular park with several small-ish lots scattered throughout, so depending on the park's attendance that day, you may have to park in one of the lots further away from our sites. Please also be aware that there is a $6.00 per vehicle fee to enter the park. If possible, please plan to carpool or take an Uber.
While our wedding celebration is kid friendly and we firmly believe in the more the merrier, due to venue capacity limitations that have been put on us by the County, we must kindly ask that only those who are listed on the wedding invitation’s envelope attend. We hate to do so but unfortunately we do not have an option when it comes to the amount of guests we are allowed.
