We met sophomore year at Brockport High School during the 2015 musical. James was working tech crew for sound, and I was in the ensemble. James had to change my microphone between scenes because there were so many solos that year. Backstage during one of the shows I decided to ask him what he was reading and that was the start of our story. We started off calling each other “platonic friends” as we’d hold hands in the hallway and on December 13th, 2015 James asked me to be his girlfriend. We dated all through high school going to 2 winter balls, 2 proms and graduating together. We had some ups and downs through the craziness of long distance during college and came out on top. During college Maddie added Noodle to our family! After James had graduated with his undergraduate degree from SUNY Binghamton we moved into our first home off of Caleb’s Trail! James with some help from both our lovely families planned the most beautiful engagement that truly brought our families together! We are so excited to start the next chapter of our lives.
