Things To Do

We actually met in London, after living in Montreal for years at same time but not knowing each other. Turns out we spent a lot of time at the same places, so anyway here's our map of our spots in Montreal. Go try some bagels and/or climb the mountain if you have some spare time in the city

Bar Bifteck St-Laurent

3702 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2X 2V4, Canada

This place is trash but they do make really inexpensive gin and tonics, which is important. GET ALL THE SALT POPCORN. Is gross.

Mamie Clafoutis

3660 Rue Saint-Denis, Montréal, QC H2X 3L7, Canada
, +1 438-380-5624

The absolute best croissants. They good. Especially the almond chocolate croissant.

Mount Royal Chalet

1196 Voie Camillien-Houde, Montréal, QC H3H 1A1, Canada

Nice view of the city from the top of the mountain

Café Myriade

1432 Rue Mackay, Montréal, QC H3G 2H7, Canada
, +1 514-939-1717

Great coffee, best consumed on the stoop just outside the iconic Mackay fruit party store delicatessen.

, +1 514-379-1233

So many plants. So many beers.

McGill University

Montreal, QC H3A 2A4, Canada

This is where we went to school. It's very pretty. Perhaps you catch it on the one week a year it is not under construction.

, +1 514-507-1642

Super cute bar. Good snacks/brunch.

351 Rue Saint-Paul Ouest, Montréal, QC H2Y 2A7, Canada
, +1 514-350-1083

The baked goods and coffee are dope. I think all of my contributions to this list are bakery related? Anyway, this cafe is a good place to grab snacks for a nice walk along the water in the Old Port.

Bar Henrietta

115 Avenue Laurier Ouest, Montréal, QC H2T 2N6, Canada
, +1 514-276-4282

Beautiful bar with magical sparkling wine. One of my favorite hangouts to go to when I come home to see my best friends.

Canal Lachine Park

Montreal, QC H3K 3E6, Canada
, +1 888-773-8888

Beautiful canal park, named "La Chine" supposedly because Jacques Cartier thought he was in China when he first landed.

Atwater Market

138 Avenue Atwater, Montréal, QC H4C 2H6, Canada
, +1 514-937-7754

Atwater Market is amazing for all types of fresh food, and it's next to the Lachine Canal Park. In 2010, when we were both living here and the Montreal Canadiens had a fantastic playoff run (beating the #1 seed Washington Capitals in the first round, and the reigning champion Pittsburgh Penguins in the second), someone in Atwater market sold a specially-designed sausage for each player on the Habs lineup.
