Of course kids are welcome! Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." (Matthew 19:14) We'd love to have your whole family here to help us celebrate!
Please let us know by about mid-April whether you'll be able to attend or not, we've got a lot of food to prepare and we don't want to leave anyone out!
The families of the bride and groom will be providing a potluck-style meal after the ceremony, including pulled pork and chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, rolls, and roasted veggies! If you'd like to bring along a side dish, salad, dessert, or drink to share, feel free to do so!
This is a religious service and, to us, a very important one. You won't need a formal gown or a suit, but please, respect the worship area and the service by dressing nicely and appropriately. When you enter a church, you enter the presence of God.
It's not the custom at St. George's to wear head scarves, but if you usually wear a head scarf at your home parish, feel free to do so here!
