Detailed Directions to Carrick Castle Estate (Venue)

Directions: Carrick Castle Estate Lochgoilhead Argyll and Bute PA24 8AF GPS COORDINATES BARN Latitude: 56° 6'57.56"N Longitude: 4°54'46.12"W USING A GPS • Using a GPS to reach Carrick Castle our postcode is PA24 8AF or follow signs from Lochgoilhead. • As you enter Carrick Castle, we are approximately 300m after the 'Carrick Castle, Please Drive Carefully' sign, which you will see on your left-hand side. • Take the track on the right-hand side and the lodge is approximately 200m up the track. You will see a newly built large wooden barn, a small house, and the main lodge. The estate office is located in the small house adjacent to the lodge. • If you reach the castle you have gone too far, turn around, drive back about ¾ mile, we will be the first left after the small bridge. BY ROAD FROM GLASGOW • Follow the A82 along the side of Loch Lomond to Tarbet. • From Tarbet take the A83 through Arrochar to the Rest & Be Thankful (NB. The filling station in Arrochar is the closest garage to fill up with fuel coming from Glasgow side, the closest from Dunoon is Strachur). • Turn left onto the B828 and onto the B839 to Lochgoilhead and Carrick Castle. • Before the humpback bridge into Lochgoilhead turn right towards Carrick Castle – this is clearly signposted. Follow the road for 5 miles. • Approximately 200m after the Carrick Castle sign at the entrance of the village you will see the lodge up a dirt track on the right-hand side. TRAVELING TO SCOTLAND (GLASGOW OR EDINBURGH AIRPORT) from outside the UK: From outside the UK, you may be able to fly direct to Glasgow or Edinburgh, or connect to Glasgow or Edinburgh via Heathrow or other major UK airport. Alternatively, you can take a train, or drive to Glasgow or Edinburgh from other major UK cities. If you have flown or taken a train to Glasgow or Edinburgh, it is best to drive (hire a car) from there to the venue as the venue is quite remote.
