Getting There

The best way to fly to Chautauqua, NY into either Erie, PA (ERI) or Buffalo, NY (BUF) which are both a little under an hour and a half from the venue. An alternative airport is Cleveland, OH (CLE) which is about two and a half hours away. From there, you can rent a car and drive the rest of the way or you can Uber to the grounds. Alternatively, if you are up for a road trip, Chautauqua, NY is only about a six and a half hour drive from NYC, Philly or DC. This would be our recommendation after making the trip many times. One benefit of driving is you can throw your hiking boots, golf clubs, or drinking shoes in the trunk and visit one of the areas many parks, golf courses or wineries and breweries in any down time. Once on site, its pretty easy to walk around the grounds. If you decide to go to the National Comedy Museum or tour other parts of the area, it would be best to have a car handy, especially since taxi's and Ubers are not in the highest quantities.

From ERI to the Athenaeum Hotel it is approximately 55 mins. The best way to arrange transport is to schedule a rental car through Enterprise

BUF

From BUF to the Athenaeum hotel is approximately 1 hour 27 minutes. Ubers are more accessible from this airport but you can also rent a car. This airport is larger than Erie so there are more rental options including Enterprise, Alamo, and Budget.
