One of our favorite coffee and pastry spots! There are a few locations around the city so find the closest one. James' drink of choice is a pure black with a splash of creamer, Karly always goes for a black and tan with simple syrup.

This is Karly's favorite restaurant in the city! Everything on the menu is amazing and the cocktails can't be beaten.
United States Capitol
The reason Karly came to D.C. in the first place and a must-see if you've never been! Also nearby are the Supreme Court, Library of Congress, and Botanical Gardens.
Jack Rose Dining Saloon
Best whiskey bar in the world, and one of James' favorite spots. Try a Willett Family Estate Single Barrel Pick - Jack Rose's relationship with the Willett Family is the stuff of bourbon legend

Our second date spot, and a perfect location for meal-by-snack (Karly's preferred eating style)

Bash does his best zoomies here. Check out the old Capital columns and the Chinese and Japanese pavilions
National Mall
No trip to DC is complete without a walk along the National Mall - where we first met during adult kickball! Make a day of museums and monuments in America's backyard... but remember that the mall is 2 miles long. Karly's favorite monument is the Jefferson Memorial. James' favorite museum is the National Portrait Gallery.
Adams Morgan
The neighborhood where we first started to connect, and later the neighborhood between our apartments (Karly in Woodley Park, James in Dupont). During the day, AdMo is an eccentric collection of cafes, shops, and restaurants. At night, it gives the National Zoo competition for the name
Boundary Stone
