You don't have to dress in a costume, but why not? It's a party so let's have fun, why dirty the formal wear? Whether it's a Halloween costume or a Cosplay cut loose and have fun. but remember 1. Keep it kid friendly 2. Keep it inoffensive/non-political 3. sturdy enough to dance in 4. Be mindful of any tails or overheating 5. Have fun!
