Is there a dress code?
Answer
The dress code for our wedding is dressy casual. The ceremony is being held outside, on the lawn, by the lake (Weather permitting) and the reception is inside the venue. Our colors for the wedding will be burgundy, navy blue and gold.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Hotel information is listed in the Travel webpage, with a list of nearby hotels, all within 5 miles of Shelton place.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony will begin at 4.00 and the reception begins immediately after.
Question
Is there parking for the ceremony?
Answer
Yes, there is free parking at the Shelton Place, parking lot next to the venue.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Yes, Lufkin has Uber or taxis.

Will there be an open bar?
Answer
Yes, its a limited open bar, with beer and wine and some basic liquors, along with a mixture of soft drinks.

What type of food and drink will be served during the reception
Answer
Its BBQ time, the meal will be a buffet, with brisket, chicken and sausage and all fixings. We will be having a sweet bar, with an assortment of desserts. If you require any special dietary requirements, please let us know a head of time with your RSVP.

May I take the centerpiece / flowers home as a souvenir
Answer
You are welcome to take them home, please advise Lois Dewey (Mother of the Groom), if you wish to take one.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media
Answer
Yes, we welcome you to post pictures on your social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag#JJMarch2023, so we can keep track of all the pictures.
