We're getting married!

We met through mutual friends in the Summer of 2006. A friend of mine invited Me over to swim because she was the only girl & I almost didn't go. To my surprise my (at the time) semi-strict Mother did not say no when asked by her then high school teenager, If I could go out so I didn't want to waste the moment. We both barely spoke to each other most of the night but it was that next night when invited back that we bonded over myself getting sick & James taking care of Me. I knew if someone could take care of a complete stranger like that when he didn't have to he had to be a decent guy. It's proven to be true ever since & he's never stopped taking care of Me. Over the last 17 years we've fallen in love, out of love, experienced life apart & found our way back. We've had beautiful children along the way & this is just the beginning of our next chapter.

On the night of my 34th birthday it was like any other birthday tradition. I always pick a fancy dinner spot I want to try that I wouldn't otherwise go eat at. This birthday we picked Ocean Prime as it was a first for Me. Little did I know, James coordinated with the restaurant ahead of time to have the table set up for a proposal. When they walked us by the table I assumed it was set up for someone else & expected to keep walking, until the hostess stopped. At this point, a little bitter, I looked back at James to see if he noticed the table too. It was at that point I realized James was getting down on one knee & the table set up & proposal was for Me. I dropped forward in disbelief & lost all words. It truly took several minutes to process that moment but it was the 2nd best day of My life. Those that have been around since the beginning & know our journey know this moment was long anticipated. We are so thankful for all of your love & support. Thank You for sticking by us. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
