James and I met on an app called Tinder. If you don't know, on Tinder you swipe right for people that you are interested in, and swiple left for people you are not interested in. You also get ONE super swipe every 24 hours. I swiped right on James, and he just so happened to use his one and only super swipe for the day on me. We messaged for a little while getting to know each other and decided it's time to meet for a date. We of course went and got tacos for lunch. We sat in that booth, eating tacos, talking, laughing and slowly falling in love (also making me run a little late for work that afternoon... oops). The connection we had over messages, became very real that day and we never wanted to stop seeing each other. After a few dates, James asked if I wanted to meet his 1 1/2-year-old daughter Reagan. We made a little coffee date at Starbucks, which is now our favorite stop on girls' day! Reagan stole the show that day, and I instantly fell in love with her, and we have been BFFs ever since. Shortly after that date, James asked me to be his girlfriend February 19, 2019. Fast forward a little over a year later and the whole world shuts down. July 2020, James and I were supposed to be on our way to Hawaii for our first big vacation together. We had this booked and planned for MONTHS. Little did I know, this was also supposed to be the place James proposed to me. We were devastated to say the least that we had to cancel our trip. However, it wasn't all bad! We decided to sell our current house and buy a new one (mid-pandemic). About a month into settling into our new home, James plans an at home date night, with all of my favorite things, movies and ice cream! He hands me a bowl of Moose Tracks, and on the spoon clinks the most beautiful ring and then I see James on one knee asking me to be his wife. After asking a million times if he is joking, and if he is serious, I of course said YES! We cannot wait for all of you to be a part of our day!
