Janett's version: I first saw James at St Ann's Catholic Church during daily mass. I was sitting in the back pews, and this very handsome man walks in who I had never seen before! He immediately caught my eye, but I did nothing - leaving it up to Gods' providence (plus I was a little scared). A few months pass by, and I see James at St. Matthew's after mass! I was there to support some friends who were playing in the Young Adult volleyball league! I was so happy to see him again, and wanted to say hi to him without actually going and saying hi (you know how that goes). Thankfully, I decided to not go hide behind the bleachers which allowed James to come and talk with me. I was nervous, excited, and happy all at the same time. We talked and I immediately knew James was extremely special. My spirit felt peace, I felt safe, and I felt joy. When we spoke, I continually felt the peace and joy. I would sometimes get scared because he was just so amazing! I was like "WOW! How can he be so gentle, funny, intelligent, insightful, engaging, and prayerful all at the same time?!" After a couple of months of friendship, we started dating and within 1.5 years he proposed! Everyday the love, joy, and respect I have for James has only grown! It's wild. I share our story because as I have recently learned, to share our testimony is to invite God to do it again! God is just so good, he has blessed me with James. The man I prayed and waited for. I never knew he would be so handsome, but what can I say, God has been so generous! 😊 God can and wants to fulfill the deepest desires of YOUR heart! He is your greatest friend! I see now what I did not see before. James drew me in because he reflected Christ's love for me! I want to thank everyone who prayed and supported us. Little did I know that evening that up in those bleachers was a one-of-a-kind girl who was going to be my future wife. So there I am, in the stands, and I unexpectedly meet Janett. We start to talk and the small talk gets a little more in depth, and more sincere, and before we knew it we were having a beautiful heart conversation. I remember watching it unfold and chose to "just notice that" and headed out that evening. Over time I got to see Janett at St. Ann's, and eventually, we got to be friends. We connected among some friends and slowly but surely got to know each other better. In January of 2023, after a Christmas trip to DFW, we took a walk along a trail on the southside of San Antonio and agreed to start dating. Since that day, amidst a time that has been so beautiful, meaningful, and fun, I realize that I have, surely, found a real treasure. I have never met anyone in my life like Janett: so thoughtful, hilarious, sweet, beautiful, kind, intelligent -- a woman who, truly, brings out the best in me. I can also surely say that in all my days I have never met someone who I love so much. It was surely The Lord Jesus Christ Who has guided our steps and led the way. He has blessed us so immensely and continues to bless us richly in these days. Janett has drawn me more deeply into the Love of God and it is his Love that propels us forward as we prepare for marriage. I give thanks to The Lord from my heart for the gift that is Janett Munoz, and I am beyond-words grateful for the gift that she is to my life.
