We met at orientation on our first day as travel nurses in Long Beach, CA. We each moved there with a friend, and we all became a group of friends who spent every day off exploring our new city together. After a group trip to Catalina Island, sparks began flying between the two of us. Three days later, we went on our first date in Manhattan Beach and the rest is history...

We've traveled all over the country and gone on adventures overseas...and James proposed in our Portland apartment. He had planned to propose at our favorite little beach town in Oregon: Yachats; but he couldn't quite wait until we made it to the beach. Instead, he prioritized the element of surprise. After we both worked an overnight shift, he got down on one knee in our apartment and proposed. We then drove to Yachats to celebrate our engagement!
