We're Getting Married!

Ella and Jamie’s story started the way all the best ones do — with a little teasing from mutual friends ;). Before she had even met Jamie, Ella was already hearing whispers (and some not-so-subtle nudges) that the two of them should date. Naturally, Ella was adamantly against it — on principle, of course. But fate had other plans. After finally meeting through friends, Ella and Jamie became fast friends themselves. For six months, they built a foundation of laughter, shared stories, and plenty of inside jokes. Then came a certain unforgettable night in Chicago — the kind with just enough drinks and just enough courage. That night, Jamie called Ella over FaceTime and asked her on their first official date. The date itself was classic them — starting at Chick-fil-A (obviously), followed by a walk through Dudley Woods Park. It wasn’t over-the-top or dramatic. It was simple, sweet, and perfect — just two people beginning something neither of them fully realized would change their lives forever. Three years later, their little duo grew by four paws — actually, eight! Ella brought home two absolutely adorable puppies, and life together got a whole lot more chaotic and cuddly. After college, landing their first jobs, and plenty of dreaming about the future, they took the next big step: buying their first home together. On March 21, 2025, they officially moved in… but one week before that, Jamie had one more surprise up his sleeve. Under the pretense of checking on the house, Jamie asked Ella to stop by their “almost home.” There, in an empty room full of promise and possibility, he got down on one knee and asked Ella the biggest question of all.
