There are two public entrances to the Indiana Statehouse. For easiest access, we recommend using the upper-level east entrance located at the intersection of N. Capitol Avenue and W. Market Street. From there, take the staircase to the open doors and proceed through a brief security screening to enter. An ADA-accessible entrance is also available on the lower level at the west entrance, accessible via the Robert D. Orr Plaza.
Once you’ve entered the Statehouse through the upper-level east entrance, proceed forward and take a right before the stained glass dome, then a left towards the information desk. The elevators are just to the right of the desk - please take them to the top floor. Upon reaching the top floor, please turn left and walk under the glass atrium to join the ceremony space. If another event is in progress, please wait on the right side until the atrium is clear. During our ceremony, we kindly ask that phones remain tucked away so we can all be fully present together. Our wonderful photographer, Shelby, will be there to guide everyone and capture these special moments - we can’t wait to share the photos with you afterward!
We are pleased to offer a paid parking option in the American United Life Parking Garage located beneath the OneAmerica Tower at 240 N. Illinois Street, Indianapolis. This garage offers convenient elevator street access and is approximately a 5-minute walk from the Indiana Statehouse. If you would like to use this option, please contact us and we will happily provide you details for entry. Additional parking is available through metered street parking (payable via the ParkMobile app) and nearby parking garages, including Court Street Garage and Capitol Commons Garage.
After we say “I do,” we plan to capture cherished group photos together. Guests are then invited to take a short walk to the Skyline Club where hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. Please relax, mingle, and enjoy the beautiful city views while us newlyweds slip away for a few photos around town. The bride and groom will soon rejoin you at the Skyline Club for a celebratory lunch to continue sharing the joy of the day together!
We kindly ask that guests wear formal attire in neutral tones or soft colors, as we’ll be taking group photos. Colors like black, navy/blues, sage/greens, and khaki/brown tones will look beautiful in the space and help our photos feel cohesive and elegant. We truly appreciate you helping us create a lovely, timeless look for our special day.
We have chosen to celebrate this special occasion surrounded by our closest loved ones. To honor this, invitations are reserved only for the person addressed, without children, and for married couples only. We are so grateful for your love, support, and understanding as we create our intimate and memorable celebration together!
