We met in 2011 outside of the residence hall we both lived in, Johnson & Hardwick at Temple University. We connected in late April of 2013, and began dating in early May. On July 1, 2013 after taking me out for my 21st birthday dinner, James and I were in Atlantic City waiting to meet up with friends and celebrate when he asked me to be his girlfriend.

In December of 2019 James called our families, bought a beautiful ring, and planned out the perfect Christmas engagement. After Christmas dinner, both of our families headed to Peddler's Village to walk around and look at Christmas lights before having dessert. After refusing to take a picture with me on the first lap, James and I stopped to take a picture in front of a pond with all of the lights behind us. He stopped the picture to get down on one knee and asked me to be his wife, I couldn't say yes fast enough!
