The wedding ceremony will be "beach formal" - dress to impress, but also dress for the elements (sun, sand, and water). The ceremony will take-place in an open-air gazebo overlooking a private beach on the Gulf-of-Mexicco and Caribbean Sea.
Yes! Hyatt Zilara is located in the "Hotel Zone" which is a long narrow beach with dozens of mega-resorts one after the other. There are frequent police patrols on the beach and the streets just like at home. We have been to Cancun a few times and never felt unsafe whatsoever.
