We're getting married!

Not only did we meet at Kennedy Middle School but this is also where we first dated. Ultimately, the intense commitment and burning passion was too much for Jimmy and he broke up with Carlie. But not before she got her first *real* kiss from him.

Carlie and Jimmy stayed friends throughout middle school and high school. They dated other people...they even dated their mutual friends. They lost touch after high school. Jimmy played football at a college in Ohio and Carlie went to school in Michigan. Over two years after their last connection, Jimmy texted Carlie "When are you graduating college? I want to be with you" While Jimmy waited for Carlie to finish her degree, she lost one of her best friends to a congenital heart condition. Just months after, Jimmy lost his best friend in a motorcycle accident. The two helped each other through those hard times as much as they could. Afterwards, Carlie couldn't tell if Jimmy's intentions were platonic or romantic. She did what any woman would do...she asked him.

You can probably guess Jimmy's answer. Soon after, they decided to get an apartment together where their love grew and grew and grew (this is also where Jimmy became a cat dad). They moved to a house and added a dog to their clan. Jimmy planned a trip to Traverse City where he proposed to Carlie at a beautiful vineyard overlooking Lake Michigan with a ring inspired by Carlie's favorite ring from her grandmother. Just after the proposal, they bought their first house together and the wedding planning began. They are so happy to share their story with you and to share their wedding day.
