Branden was born in Houston, Texas, and raised in San Antonio, Texas, where his early interest in politics began to take shape. He went on to study political science, starting at Texas State University before transferring to Indiana University, where he deepened both his academic focus and his love for the city of Bloomington. A passionate advocate, lifelong music lover, especially all things Taylor Swift, and proud cat dad to the distinguished Mr. Pickles Reginald Henderson II, Branden brings thoughtfulness, heart, and a great playlist to everything he does. He is thrilled to be building a life in Bloomington with his partner and looks forward to celebrating this next chapter surrounded by friends, family, and love.

James was born in Austin, Texas, and raised in the small but spirited town of Lockhart. From a young age, he knew he wanted to be a teacher — a passion that led him to study history at Texas State University and now continues as he pursues his graduate degree at the University of Indianapolis. A devoted student of the past with a heart full of Southern charm, James has a deep love for storytelling, learning, and music, especially the voices of Reba McEntire and Kacey Musgraves, who have long been the soundtrack to his life. He is also a proud cat dad to Olive Sandra Hutcheson, a dignified feline with a strong personality and even stronger opinions. James is looking forward to the future with optimism, curiosity, and love, and is especially excited to begin this new chapter in Indiana with his partner by his side.
