Mount Battie and the picturesque stone mountain tower overlooking Camden Harbor. A one-hour-up/one-hour-back hiking trip is the best way to see this mountain. There is also road access to the top just off of Route 1, for a small fee.
There are many different options for sailing cruises out of Camden, Rockport, and Rockland ranging from several hours to custom charters.
Two trails offer the chance to summit an open summit hill with fantastic views of Penobscot Bay, Camden Hills, and the St. George Peninsula. Another highlight is a historic sod-roofed hut known as Beech Nut near the summit.
The trails on this nature preserve wind by the Great Bog, along Megunticook Lake, and up to beautiful views of the area. Make sure to check out Balance Rock, a large boulder that seems to be balanced precariously on the bedrock. The boulder is just a short walk from the trailhead on the Orange Trail, accessible via the main Blue Trail.

Our personal favorite hike, this trail offers an ascent to some spectacular views from cliffs that tower 800' over Megunticook Lake. The trail traverses open ledges at the top of the cliff, leading to a notable destination, where a large steel cross commemorates Elenora French, who fell to her death here in 1862 at 11 years of age.
