A Day to Remember

We wish we could say it was love at first sight or the classic Grey's Anatomy story when James strolled onto the unit to first lay eyes on Becca. Our story has a few more twists and turns in it.. Once upon a night shift, Becca started her very first shift as a registered nurse at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. As fate had it, James was also scheduled to work that night as the fellow. The two introduced themselves - Becca thought James to be an intimidating fellow and James thought Becca to be a cute nurse. James told himself he could never go after a new nurse - oh how karma likes to rear its head! Months of stealing glances and bashful flirting went by, but one night would change their life forever. The two were swapping stories about travels and recommendations for restaurants, then the chatting turned to texting, then the texting turned to a date, and the date turned into few dates that went less than ideal. Surprisingly, the story does not end! James & Becca didn't know why, but they could not stop talking to the other regardless of the failed dates. They went steady after a few more dates that went exceedingly well. Becca moved back home to St. Louis a few months later, and the two were long distance for a year and half. After countless miles on the road traveling to and from Memphis & St. Louis, the couple moved to San Antonio, Texas in September of 2023. James proposed to Becca on May 26, 2024 at the location of their first weekend getaway together - in St. Louis at the St. Louis Art Museum. The couple is overjoyed during this season of life and cannot wait for the wedding!
