What was your first date?

Answer

Coffee and a walk. We met for coffee at Cup of Joe in downtown Cedar Falls then proceeded to walk around downtown. We found ourselves talking on a bench in Overman park after several hours - just shy of a year later, we were engaged at the same bench.

Cedar Rapids? Don't you live in Cedar Falls?

Answer

Yes - we chose to hold the wedding in Cedar Rapids to be closer to Anne Marie's family (and a tiny bit closer to Arkansas).

Why St. Pius X?

Answer

Anne Marie's parents were married at St. Pius X, our wedding at the same church brings it full circle.

How did you two meet?

Answer

Anne Marie and James met after both moving to Waterloo/Cedar Falls for work after graduating college. We were connected through online dating and immediately hit it off.
