Amy and James met the old fashioned way- online dating. Our first date was 9/22/19, at a dive bar on the Upper West Side. Amy came straight from watching the Patriots football game and showed up in her Tom Brady jersey. Fortunately, that wasn't a turn-off for James. After enjoying getting to know one another and having a great time, their first date led to a second, then a third, and the rest, they say, is history!
Amy got the surprise proposal of a lifetime upon her return home from vacation 8/24/21. After multiple flight delays, Amy finally made it back to MI. She came home to a vase of roses, a bottle of champagne, and a pie. That alone made the stress of traveling disappear. James encouraged Amy to take a look at the pie, so Amy removed the cover and exclaimed, "Ooo blueberry!" James told Amy to look closer, and that's when she saw it: a little black box. James got on one knee and asked Amy to marry him. In Amy's complete surprise and elatement, she had to confirm with James that she actually said yes! And they say romance is dead!
