FAQs

Question

Is this a wedding?

Answer

This is our version of a wedding, mostly a chance for us to celebrate with all of our friends and family at one of our favorite places!

Question

Will there be a ceremony?

Answer

We will meet at the top of the gondola, say a few words, then start our ski day!

Question

Do I need to get a hotel?

Answer

There may be traffic along I-70; however, that shouldn't stop anyone from a day trip from Denver if they do not want to lodge in Vail for the night/weekend. The drive from Denver typically takes between 2 to 4 hours. We will be staying in an Airbnb in Lionshead.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Totally! Bonus points if they ski.

Question

What should I wear if I am skiing?

Answer

It’s spring skiing, you wear what you want. Suits, dresses, fur, bolo ties… all encouraged.

Question

What should I wear if I’m not skiing?

Answer

Wear whatever you would wear to an apres ski bar crawl! The weather is variable so keep that in mind, but anything goes (jeans, dresses, boots, sweaters, etc.)

Question

What if I don't ski or board?

Answer

We still love you. There are tons of non-skiing activities around Lionshead - brunch at the Little Diner, a walk along Gore Creek, or treat yourself to a spa day. If you would like to join us before we shred for the day, consider a scenic gondola ride (check the Things to Do tab for the website and pricing)

Question

What ski pass do I need?

Answer

Vail Resort is part of the Epic Mountain Resorts. If you have an Epic Pass, great! Otherwise you’ll need a lift ticket.

Question

Which bar will the après ski be at?

Answer

We won’t have a reserved space but would like to stay in the Lionshead area. Garfinkles is our favorite spot and they have a ton of picnic tables and a large patio. There are other bars in the area as well!

Question

How warm will it be?

Answer

You never know what Colorado will decide, but the average temperatures on April 6th in Vail are 42F (high) and 19F (low). Bring a jacket for when the sun goes down!
