James and I went camping over labor day and while we were there we took a hike out to one of the waterfalls. It was a short hike in and we stopped to enjoy the view and have a snack before finishing the trail. While we were there he started acting all nervous and made me stand up. Then he said that he wanted to keep doing this forever and pulled out a ring. Since you're reading this its kinda obvious that I said yes! After the proposal, we went on to finish our hike, we decided to take a trail that looked shorter instead of going the long route. Well... we didn't take into account the changes in elevation, it was a ridge trail, and it was obvious it hadn't been used lately. We went up for a very long time, and then down for a short while, then up for even longer, then down again. Just as we were going down what we believed to be the last part we commented to each other about how it was great that we were going down at that point instead of up. We made it to the bottom, looked at the map, and realized that we missed our turn... So back up we went, we might as well have been rock climbing it was so steep. When we finally made it to the top we found our trailhead, marked by a little cabin of sticks, OF STICKS. It was all downhill from there (ba dum tss), and very peaceful, I only slipped once! We made it back to the car just as the sun was going down and had a nice, long, uneventful ride home.
