We met on Hinge in early January and after a few weeks of chatting, James asked me to meet for dinner! We had our first date at Broth, a ramen restaurant in Worcester, MA, and spent the entire evening lost in conversation. Everything between us just felt natural and right from the very beginning!

During one of our many trips to visit my family in Florida, James and I discovered Blackbird Comics & Coffeehouse. It quickly became our favorite place because of the cozy atmosphere, great games, and delicious drinks. On June 26, 2023, we made our way there for a morning of games and coffee. During a highly competitive game of "Tea for Two" the owner asked if I would like to have one of their house-made pop tarts because she'd prepared too many. She placed the plate in front of me and I saw the words "Marry Me?" written on the pastry! James got down on one knee and brought out the ring and I said "Yes!!!" without hesitation!
