Shean and Jam's love story began unexpectedly in January 2020. While preparing for a deployment to Zamboanga, Shean casually browsed a dating app and stumbled upon Jam's profile. Intrigued, he swiped right, but Jam, no longer active on the app, couldn't match with him. Undeterred, Shean found another way to contact her. Despite the distance, their connection blossomed. Daily calls, messages, and plans for a reunion upon his return fueled their growing affection. Their initial, carefree interactions gradually deepened into a genuine and unexpected love. Back in Cebu, Shean was eager to meet Jam. He brought her gifts from his travels, a tradition he would continue throughout their relationship. Their first date, a simple meal at a food court, was filled with effortless conversation and sparkling eyes. As hours turned into late-night movie watching, Shean popped the question: "Will you be my girlfriend?" Jam's resounding "Yes" filled him with joy. Their relationship faced challenges during the pandemic, with lockdowns and restrictions hindering their time together. However, their love endured, strengthened by mutual support and understanding. Shean helped Jam navigate a difficult period in her life, providing financial assistance as she transitioned to independence. During this time, they nurtured their dreams together, discussing their ideal future: the kind of home they wanted, the number of children they hoped to have (Jam envisioned five, while Shean preferred three!), and the life they longed to build. Their aspirations began to materialize in 2022. They celebrated the purchase of their first condo, followed by their first car. Their first trip together, to Boracay, was a memorable adventure, especially for Jam, who experienced her first airplane ride with Shean by her side. While marriage wasn't a rush, it was always a shared dream. On February 1, 2024, their fourth anniversary, Shean made it a reality. Months of planning culminated in a romantic proposal at their favorite restaurant. As they reminisced over their journey together, Shean, with a ring in hand, knelt and asked, "Will you marry me?" Jam's tearful "Yes" echoed the love they had nurtured since their unexpected meeting on a dating app.
