What started out as a friendly conversation and an offer of Hennessy, blossomed into a sure and homegrown love.
In May of 2021, Jamal and Zaréya, ripe in their early years of membership in Greek organizations, met at the infamous Greek picnic, Freaknik!
(Both Jamal and Zaréya are members of Greek organizations, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated and Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated)
After their initial meeting, Jamal and Zaréya built a relationship based on good times, good people and good food!
In March of 2022, they made it "official" and began dating exclusively. While dating, the couple experienced growth, loss, triumphs, seasons and individual improvement together.
As time moved on and life evolved, in March of 2025 Jamal decided to ask...
Naturally, Zaréya said yes.
So, their journey continues...
