Have we reserved room blocks at one or more hotels?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at the Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey, CA. There is a two-night minimum that allows for check-in on April 17, 2026 and check out the morning of April 19, 2026. There are other hotels in the Big Sur, Monterey, and Carmel areas; however, we only have one room block at Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey, CA.

Will there be a shuttle to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes. We will have a shuttle service taking guests to and from the wedding venue from Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey, CA.

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. For example, a suit or a dress shirt with a tie is suggested. A midi- or knee-length dress or dressy separates are also welcome.

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guest list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under the age of 18 on our wedding day.

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

In April, Big Sur, CA experiences moderately chilly and breezy weather with average high temperatures around 61 degrees and lows of 50 degrees. Rain is possible (average of 3 rainy days during the month), but generally less frequent than in March. Be sure to bring layers!
