After years of co-parenting and the hardships of being single parents we still maintained a strong family bond for Daei. Our bond as a family grew stronger throughout the years of trips to Disneyland and our trip to Disney World in 2014. Which made us realize that our bond as partners had blossomed, showing us something there that wasn't there before. To where a new chapter in our lives that seems to be like a repeat but with a much clearer state of a mind body and soul, united.
It happened on News Years, the best way to start 2017! We were on a cruise to celebrate a birthday and the New Year! After ringing in the New Year and dancing the night away, we decided to take a walk around the boat. Under the stars I explained to Jamal my love for the stars because it reminded me of my father, and how the ocean reminds me of my mother. I told Jamal how at peace I felt knowing I had my mother and father there, that is when Jamal got on one knee and told me that in front of my mother and father, he wanted to ask my hand in marriage. We are so excited to share this next chapter in lives with you! See you in the D.R.
