It all began in 1998! Yes, you read that correct! Two kids in a kindergarten class that had no idea that they would have such a sweet love story. At the sweet age of five years old, Josh knew that Jalonna was the girl of his dreams. Jalonna on the other hand was focused on becoming a pediatrician, so boys were not quite the forethought. Josh did not want to forget that Jalonna is who he would one day marry. He drew a picture with a stick figure girl and wrote "Jalonna" so he'd never forget. Our elementary years flew by with laughs and giggles as we would pass each other in the hallway. Then fifth grade year we went to separate schools not knowing if we would ever see each other again. Fast forward to highschool where Josh played football and Jalonna was a cheerleader. Jalonna was not very into football, so she didn't notice Josh playing on the other team, but Josh noticed her cheering on the sidelines. Fast forward to after college. That summer, Jalonna was working in the mall when Josh walked into her store to say "Jalonna, is that you?!" Jalonna then replies, "Yes, you look familiar. What's your name?" Josh replies with his name and excitement sparked. The conversation remained brief, but that moment changed everything! Josh and Jalonna kept in contact for a few months. Jalonna had moved to a new city, but came home for Thanksgiving. They decided to grab some food together and hang out. Jalonna thought Josh was cool for the most part of their meal until he got up and had a long phone call. Jalonna thought that was rude and was no longer interested in continuing dinner, but she remained chill when he returned. Shortly after we walked to our cars, took a picture, and went home. A few weeks later it was Christmas 2015 and Josh asked Jalonna to be his girlfriend!!! That day started their grand adventure over the past 8 years. Christmas 2022 we went to Disney World Magic Kingdom where Josh proposed to Jalonna!!! This was the most magical day ever!!!
