We were connected by mutual friends through social media, and after a few months of talking, we finally met in person during Mardi Gras 2017 in New Orleans. What started as a fun trip with a group of friends turned into a great personal friendship between us, even from a distance—one of us in college in Tennessee, the other living in Louisiana. Over time, that friendship turned into something more. We fell in love, and the rest is history!
