We're getting married!!

Jalen and Lyka’s journey together began in high school, when they first crossed paths as sophomores. Little did they know that what started as a friendship would grow into a love story that would stand the test of time—one that was, and always has been, guided by God’s plan for them. From their very first moments together, they knew there was something special between them—a connection they believe was ordained by God. What followed were years of laughter, challenges, growth, and shared dreams. Through every high and every low, Jalen and Lyka never gave up on each other. They faced life’s ups and downs—losing loved ones, overcoming personal struggles, and navigating the many twists and turns that life threw their way—but they always knew they were stronger together, especially with God at the center of their relationship. The next big chapter in their story came on New Year’s Eve in 2022, when Jalen proposed to Lyka at the iconic Potato Drop. Surrounded by the warmth of the New Year’s celebration heading into 2023, with the promise of new beginnings in the air, Jalen asked the love of his life to marry him—and, of course, Lyka said yes. They were filled with gratitude, knowing that God’s timing had brought them to this moment. Their relationship became even more meaningful when they welcomed a beautiful new chapter into their lives with the birth of their child. Becoming parents changed everything, but it only deepened their bond and solidified the love they shared. Through sleepless nights and joyful moments, they learned to love each other even more deeply, knowing that their family was the greatest adventure of all, and that this blessing was part of God’s perfect plan for them. Now, as they prepare to say "I do," Jalen and Lyka are filled with excitement for the future they will build together, hand in hand, with God’s love leading the way. Their love has already withstood the test of time, and with every passing day, they continue to grow stronger as partners, best friends, and soulmates—living out their faith in their relationship. Together, they’ve learned that love is not just about the easy moments, but about how you show up for each other during the tough times, too.
