Yellowstone National Park has a few entrances less than two hours from Bozeman. It is a wonderful spot to see wildlife and nature at its finest. In June there will also be plenty of people to watch to if you go plan for a busy day. If you are interested in visiting the park we recommend looking into wait times in advance. Federal firings and hiring restrictions may significant impact the experience in National Parks this summer.
There is a lot of hiking in the area. June is a beautiful time of year to get out and enjoy the mountains while searching for wild flowers. Reach out to any member of the immediate family for a hiking trail recommendation!
Whether you are looking to kill a few hours or a whole day, fishing is always an option in the Gallatin Valley. If you are looking to wet a fly and catch a few fish, feel free to check in with Jaleh, Ben, or Brian (father of the bride) for recommendations on where to go.
Whenever they visit the area Jaleh and Ben enjoy visiting some of their favorite places to eat. Here are the good recommendations from the couple. Breakfast Western Cafe - This place is an institution! If you go consider the Bobcat Breakfast. Lunch Albertano’s Mexican Food - Great place for Tacos and Burritos. Yes it is in a gas station. Yes it is worth it Feed Cafe - Great spot for local ingredients. They have some epic salads. Dinner Bridger Brewing - They have so many amazing Pizza options. The Farm to Fig is one of our go to choices! Montana Ale Works - Amazing and diverse food options. We have been happy with pretty much every dish we have ever ordered here.
Our go to Bozeman activity is grabbing a beer or a drink, ideally after a ski or some time on the river. Beer MAP Brewing - MAP is a Bozeman classic and a favorite of the couple. It is a must visit every time we come to town. The Strange Cattle NEIPA is the favorite beer (if you don’t get to try it at the brewery it will make an appearance at our events). Mountains Walking - This brewery is a bit newer in town but it quickly became a local favorite. There are great snacks and a good beer selection. Mixed Drinks Bozeman Distilling - Bozeman Distilling has been located downtown since the beginning of time. It is the home of Huckleberry Vodka which they use to make some amazing cocktails.
Virginia City is a great stop for anyone with a few extra days. Virginia City is an old Montana Mining town filled with fun activities and tons of history. There is a theater that puts on shows and a full ghost town that becomes a living museum on some weekends. It is a great spot to spend an afternoon or a whole day.
