Jala and Andrew met through a mutual friend in 2018. Andrew was at his local county fair with cattle, so Jala came to visit and help him out. They stayed in touch for several months, but distance and life got in the way and they drifted apart. A few years later, Jala was back in the area again and they reconnected. Andrew invited her to stop by for dinner, she accepted, and the rest is history! Everyone who knows either Andrew or Jala knows that cows are a huge part of their lives. So it’s no surprise that Andrew took advantage of an afternoon together in the field with their herd to propose. It was May 2023 and they were checking on the younger calves at pasture. Andrew was putting in ear tags, and yelled over to Jala to come look at one of them. It read, “Will You Marry Me?” Andrew got down on one knee, officially popped the question, and Jala said “YES!” They are so excited to celebrate with all their family and friends as they begin this new chapter together!
