FAQs

The Wedding Website of Lindsey Mead and Jakob Baarck
Question

Where will the celebrations take place?

Answer

Both our ceremony and wedding reception will take place in Bay City, Michigan. Our ceremony will be held at Reverie Wedding Co. (Lindsey's amazing cousins' new venue!) and our reception will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bay City - Riverfront. These are both indoor venues.

Question

Am I invited to both the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes, all guests are welcome to attend both our wedding ceremony and reception. However, we note that our wedding ceremony venue has a 200-seat limit. Unfortunately, that will mean seats will be on a first come, first-served basis (with limited reservations for our close family). There may be standing room to accommodate additional guests at the ceremony, but our reception venue certainly has space for all!

Question

What is the distance between the wedding ceremony venue and the reception venue?

Answer

The distance between our wedding ceremony venue and reception venue is approximately a quarter of a mile (an estimated five-minute walk). Guests are welcome to park at the DoubleTree for both events, or there is a parking lot with limited space across the street from Reverie Wedding Co.

Question

What time is the ceremony, and what time do reception activities begin?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at 3:30pm at Reverie Wedding Co. The start of the reception activities, the cocktail hour, will begin at 5:30pm. Please see the "Things To Do" tab for suggestions on how to spend your time in between the ceremony and reception - we have a couple of fun bars we recommend!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this special day surrounded by our closest friends and family. We request that only those who are formally invited, as indicated on your wedding invitation, join us. If you have a plus one, it will be noted on your invitation when you RSVP.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This is an adult-only celebration, with the exception of children specifically named on your invitation. We hope you take this opportunity as a chance for a special date night out!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We can't wait to see our loved ones all dressed up for our big day. We want you to be comfortable and dressed in whatever you feel good in. If you're looking for a suggested attire, we recommend cocktail or semi-formal. You're more than welcome to dress to the nines if you want! We just ask that folks in gowns refrain from wearing all white.
