Soon to be Strzelecs

Our story begins in 2019 at a bar called Slick Willies. A dancer, still in her rehearsal attire, gazes across the bar at a boy juggling pool balls….. and the rest was history :) What was such a simple moment, is now such a special moment. We had our first date at Friday's. Jake ordered 2 entrees and I ordered mozzarella sticks (a "cheap date" as my step-dad would always say). Our first kiss was out back by the cabin at Jake's parents land, after a legendary 'Strzelec Bonfire'. The stars were shining, the fireflies were glowing; the scene in a classic love story film. We quickly learned that our favorite place to be was together. We would just sit in our college apartments chatting and laughing the night away. We became the other half of ourselves that we didn't know was missing. Dating through Covid, and having to do the dreaded long-distance while I was working, was not easy. But together we endured the challenges and we know that in the end, it made us even more certain of our love for each other. On September 3rd 2023, the best day ever happened. Jake's parents were having a Labor Day party and invited my family. He had every activity that day planned out to a T (and even sweat through 2 shirts). At sunset, we took a walk to their cabin out back. On the way, he grabbed my hand and knelt down on one knee. Just me and him. My favorite moment in time. After he proposed, I realized where we were... the same monumental place we were 4 years prior, but this time with a stunning sunset, and everyone we love waiting at the cabin to celebrate. This past year has been filled with so much bliss. We have always talked about our future, but now it seems more "real". We love planning this wedding and throwing in our special touches. Our main goal is to host the party of the century, where everyone in the room feels the love we have for them and for each other (of course the food was a top priority too). We cannot wait for all of the people that we love to be in one room together. Get ready to dress up, enjoy our 4 hour bar, and dance the night away. Ever since our first kiss I have felt like our life was a movie. Things falling in and out of place, but always a happy ending... because we have each other. We can't wait for 9/27/25, our soon-to-be BEST DAY EVER!!!
