Hope and Jakob met while he was a student at College. Hope was visiting a friend and ran into Jakob while he was having a very spirited conversation about a topic with another college student. Needless to say Hope was unimpressed. Meanwhile, Jakob called his mom to let her know he met the girl he was going to marry. Leading up to engagement Jakob was set on surprising Hope and went to every extent to throw her off. Even giving her a fake hint on their one year anniversary concerning when he would propose. Hope cried. Jakob lied. In the weeks prior to proposing Jakob would even start fake fights with Hope about "Not being rushed" and it being "his decision". Hope also Cried.
