Sooo here it goes… We met on a Christian dating app called Upward. Let me just say I was a little hesitant because most people were not for me. Believe it or not a lot of people on there are not even Christians! Fabian however was a different story. He was handsome, charming, and a consistent communicator. It only took a week of phone calls and texts for us to decide we wanted to meet up. For our first date we decided to meet up in Troy,AL. You might think nothing’s in Troy… and you’d be correct. As a matter of fact when I googled what to do in Troy they were bragging about their new bowling alley so that’s where we decided to meet. The funny part is that when we got to the address, the building was still under construction and had not yet opened. We parked in the grocery store parking lot next door and got out of our cars. We greeted each other and it was very warm as if we already met before. Next, we googled again and decided to go down the street to a historical site. It was very cool and full of interesting clothes, tools, vehicles, and more. There was a post office,a pharmacy, a general store, and an old school house. We got a chance to talk about our cultures, what it would be like to live in those days and how technology has improved. After our time there, we grabbed a lunch at a small little café and then went outside to a small square with a gazebo. We just sat there and hung out and talked and laughed for hours. At the end, we gave each other a hug and sadly parted. We both knew that day we had found something special.
