We met each other through fate-like circumstances. Whitney’s great grandmother had passed that day and I was dragged out by my co-worker to this Halloween party on campus. When I first walked into the house most everyone was in costume, then directly in front of me, sitting under the only light in the place, was Whitney. I remember immediately thinking that she was out of my league by miles! She looked so stunning, and she had “leave me alone” written all over her face..so I left her alone! An hour later, my friend was introducing me to people and I remember looking up just as we came through a small gaggle to see her right in front of me. I was at a slight loss of words. Eventually we started chit chatting, joking around about the lame party music and how Ariana Grande was going to get the cops called over. I stayed there and we talked the night away. We spent an entire weekend together. At the time, it felt like a weeks vacation. I was blown away by her smile, her intelligence, and the way she carried herself with such confidence and grace. I knew she was special without a doubt. Over the next two months I realized she was somebody I could see myself being with forever. Breaking the “Love” word barrier was exciting and scary. I gave Whitney a promise ring on New Years while we were in Chicago. It was more of a birthday gift; I wanted to get her something she hadn’t ever received before. The way she smiled when she opened that box is etched into my memory. On May 20th, 2017 I proposed on Victory Field in Indianapolis. Our families were present and it was the first major milestone of many for us. One month later on June 20th, we moved into our new home here in Whitestown Indiana. It has been a long year in preparation for our wedding, and we are excited to have the day so quickly approaching. We look forward to all of our friends and family that can be there to support us on the day we wed. Our hope is to show you all a great time as we celebrate together!
