Best Man
Standing beside Jake as his Best Man is his younger brother, Ryan — someone who has been by his side his entire life. Their bond as brothers has only grown stronger over the years, built on shared memories, competition, and unwavering support. Ryan graduated from Georgia College & State University with his Bachelor’s degree in Biology and is currently in his first year of dental school at Jake’s alma mater, Lincoln Memorial University in Knoxville, Tennessee. Like all Tuchmanns, Ryan plays tennis competing in club tennis at GCSU, where he also served as Club Tennis President. Now, from Jake’s perspective, Ryan may not have been quite as athletic but he has always been the smarter brother. Ryan has excelled academically throughout his life and is on track to become the first Tuchmann to earn a doctorate. His discipline, dedication to studying, and relentless work ethic have carried him through challenges and positioned him for an incredibly bright future. You don’t often hear older brothers say they look up to their younger brothers, but Jake can confidently say that he truly looks up to Ryan. He pushes Jake to be better every single day. Jake couldn’t imagine this day — without Ryan standing right beside him as his Best Man.

Vicki and Lindsey’s friendship began thanks to a mutual friend who placed them in a group message after they both accepted teaching positions at the same school. At the time, it seemed like a simple introduction between two new coworkers, but it quickly became so much more. Vicki often looks back on that day with gratitude, knowing it led to one of the most meaningful friendships in her life. What started as a work friendship soon grew into something deeper. As fellow teachers, they bonded over lesson plans, long days, shared laughter, and the heart it takes to pour into students each day. Their connection felt natural and steady from the beginning. Outside the classroom, their friendship flourished. They trained for half marathons and even completed a full marathon together, encouraging one another through every mile. They’ve spent hours at BodyPump classes, crafting side by side, and enjoying mornings filled with bagels, coffee, and heartfelt conversations. Lindsey has been a constant source of encouragement and support. Vicki had the honor of standing beside Lindsey on her wedding day, and now it means so much to have Lindsey standing by her side as she begins this next chapter.

Jay is one of Jake’s closest if not his closest friends. Their friendship began shortly after Jake graduated in 2021, starting with a bold first impression. Jay sent a message to their ALTA tennis team that read, “I hope your Line 1 players are ready to move to Line 2.” From that moment on, a competitive rivalry turned into a friendship that has only grown stronger over time. What began as tennis partners in ALTA and T2 leagues quickly expanded beyond the court. The two picked up pickleball together and went on to compete in professional tournaments as well as numerous Moneyball events constantly pushing each other to improve while enjoying every bit of the competition. Beyond sports, their friendship is rooted in a shared love of athletics, Korean barbecue nights, and countless hours spent laughing and finding any excuse to spend time together. Jay also honored Jake by having him stand as a groomsman in his wedding, a moment Jake will always value. Jake couldn’t imagine this day without Jay by his side and is truly honored to stand alongside one of his very closest friends.

Mikey is Jake’s oldest friend, with their friendship beginning all the way back in tee-ball. What started on the baseball field quickly grew into years of shared memories from summer hangouts and pool days to countless hours on the tennis court. Jake and Mikey spent years playing competitive junior tennis together, where their true friendship was built through long practices and countless weekends competing side by side. Both were part of the same tennis academy at Chestnut Hill, where Mikey would eventually meet his wife, Sam, adding even more meaning to those early years. No matter where life has taken them, their friendship has remained strong. Today, Mikey lives in St. Augustine, Florida, and Jake always looks forward to every opportunity to catch up when he and Sam are back in Georgia visiting family and friends. Vicki met Cryssie through their sorority, AOII, but at the time they did not know each other beyond the sisterhood they shared. It was not until later, through mutual friends and life bringing them back together, that their friendship truly began to grow. What started as a simple connection slowly turned into something much more meaningful and steady. As fellow teachers, they bonded over their shared love for students and education. They even completed their masters programs together, encouraging one another through long nights, deadlines, and the challenges of balancing school, work, and everyday life. That season strengthened their friendship in such a special way. Cryssie consistently shows up with kindness, support, and a heart for others. Having her stand by Vicki’s side on such an important day is a beautiful reminder that some friendships grow over time and become something truly lasting.

Jake was honored to stand beside Hunter as a groomsman in his wedding, and it means even more to have Hunter standing with him on this day. A fun fact they both share: Jake and Hunter have the exact same birthday — although Jake likes to remind him he’s technically older by a few hours.
